The Living Archive MK First World War Centenary Project - funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2013/ 14 - will provide free teaching and independent learning resources for educational purposes only.
The strength of the Living Archive MK WW1 collection lies in its primary sources and eyewitness accounts. Learning resources include diaries, letters, audio interviews and newspaper reports by those who lived through the Great War in Milton Keynes's older communities (Wolverton, New Bradwell, Stony Stratford, Bletchley, Fenny Stratford).
You can find these by browsing this website using the drop-down menus above and they can be used and enlarged online on digital Smartboards. Or you can click on the buttons to the left to access and download suggested lesson plans and a choice of teaching resources by topic "package". They can then be printed in colour and laminated for use in class, or files can be downloaded to your class folders or VLE for independent research use by students.
